The OnGuard 8114 link-plate folding bike lock offers the ease of use and versatility of a cable lock combined with a level of protection that matches many U-Locks. This lock folds up to fit into a very compact holster making it much smaller and easier to transport or store than a U-lock or chain.
The rubber holster and lock mount neatly on the bicycle frame using the water bottle mounting bolts or the sturdy straps supplied. Alternatively, it will fit easily into a small bag so you will always have your lock with you when you need it.
The flexibility of the folding lock gives you more locking opportunities whether using bulky lamp posts or locking two bikes together.
OnGuard rate the 8114 as a maximum security lock scoring 80/100 on their security level. High-security features include the Z-cylinder which resists picking, pulling or drilling and BumpBlock technology which renders bump keys useless. The lock mechanism is encased in ultra hardened steel to resist drilling or pulling and the 8 plates are made of tempered steel.
