Fault cause and technical upgrade plan of Fiido X

Effective April 13, 2022, Fiido announced the recall of all Fiido X folding electric bike which manufactured between September 2021 and March 2022, a total of 2,989 units. (including unit from IGG sales channel, official website sales channel and authorized distributors sales channel)

The risk  associated with the affected product is the design issue of the folding components of the frame, which may have the risk of frame fracture, resulting in hidden safety hazards.

After the investigation of the broken bike by Fiido R&D laboratory,the cause of the problem was discovered as below:
1. The frame is not strong enough to stand long term use of complex situations. .
2. Defects in packaging design result in the risk of damage in the transportation.

Considering various factors, Fiido team upgraded the folding structure of the Fiido X frame that aim at the weak area of the frame to ensure the product safety of Fiido X and reduce potential risk. The process and result of the upgrade and test will be released to all X users simultaneously..

Fiido will directly contact all affected customers advising them to make an appointment with support team, free product recall services and corresponding user protection plan will be carried out. Implementation details will be released on April 12.
